I dreamed a dream of a mountain.

It was more beautiful than anything I’d seen.

The colors in the dream were vivid and the clouds that surrounded the mountain were whiter than white.

The mountain could be seen but it was yet unattainable.

In Isaiah 2:1-5 we read:

“The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

It shall come to pass in the latter days    that the mountain of the house of the Lordshall be established as the highest of the mountains,    and shall be lifted up above the hills;and all the nations shall flow to it,

and many peoples shall come, and say:“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,    to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways    and that we may walk in his paths.”For out of Zion shall go forth the law,    and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

He shall judge between the nations,    and shall decide disputes for many peoples;and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,    and their spears into pruning hooks;nation shall not lift up sword against nation,    neither shall they learn war anymore.

O house of Jacob,    come, let us walk    in the light of the Lord.”

The promise of the millennial reign of the Messiah on earth is a dream. We read of the promise of the Son in Luke 1:32-33, “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

At that time covenants will be fulfilled. We are told in Matthew 24:32, “And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

The land will be restored.

During the millennial Christ will be a righteous King.

There will be peace, Isaiah 32:17-18, “And the effect of righteousness will be peace,    and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.

My people will abide in a peaceful habitation,    in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.”

There will be joy, “Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.” (Isaiah 61:7)

We will be comforted, “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord 's hand double for all her sins.” (Isaiah 40:2)

Believers will live there and they will possess the knowledge of God, “They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:9)

Christ will rule as King, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)

I have a dream of a place where there is a beautiful mountain…and Jesus is there.
